You gave up on turmeric capsules. This is the version you'll actually keep taking.
Most people who buy turmeric quit. The capsules are big, you need several, and the bottle ends up in the back of the cabinet.
Yellowbelly is the same idea in liquid form. Two teaspoons go into a glass of water, or you can take it straight. It tastes like water, so you can add it to anything.
What it's for
Long days, short sleep, too much coffee. Your body keeps going through all of it. Curcumin is one of the most studied plant compounds there is, with more than 100 human clinical trials behind it, and here's what we're comfortable saying it does:
- Supports a healthy inflammatory response.*
- Provides antioxidant support.*
What we're not going to do is promise you more energy or a sharper brain by Tuesday. The research doesn't back that up, and we'd rather tell you straight than sell you a miracle.
Why the black pepper?
Black pepper extract (piperine) is in every serving for one reason. A 1998 study by Shoba and colleagues found that taking piperine with curcumin made the curcumin much more available to the body. That study used 2,000 mg of curcumin with 20 mg of piperine. Yellowbelly keeps the same 100 to 1 ratio at half the amount per serving.
What's in it
Curcumin, black pepper extract, and water, with a little sunflower lecithin to hold it together. It's cold processed and never heated. That's the whole label.
What you get for being on the list
